Tarot Astrocabalístico Universal®

The Tarot Astrocabalístico Universal® (English: Astro-kabbalistic Universal Tarot) is one of the most ambitious project I had the opportunity to work in. This unique tarot deck was conceived merging the three major esoteric branches (Astrology and Numerology with ancient Kabbalah) and tooked over seven years to be fulfilled. It was developed conjointly with CNATBA (Astrotarot and Numerology Buenos Aires Center), an educational center in these matters presided by well-known argentine numerologist, astrologist and tarologist Marcela Paola Matteuci who asked me to design this tarot deck mainly as a study tool.
Loosely inspired by the classic Thoth Tarot and Rider-Water Tarot decks (which are considered "the roots of modern Tarology"), this is a full deck of 79 cards that brings a new viewpoint in practising cartomancy. Visually, each card is a mixture of heavily-processed images, such as photographs and self-made scanned illustrations which conveys in vibrant-colored digital collages. In order to be able to design this tarot deck, I had an year-study preparation at the CNATBA center so I could understand the complexity of these methods.
Besides the Tarot itself, I also designed the cover of the Manual de Tarot Astrocabalístico Universal® (English: Astro-kabbalistic Universal Tarot user manual), a packaging box for both the user manual and the tarot deck and a two posters with additional information.

El Tarot Astrocabalístico Universal® es un proyecto llevado a cabo en conjunción con CNATBA (Centro de Astrotarot y Numerología de Buenos Aires), presidido por la astróloga, numeróloga, taróloga y maestra Marcela Paola Matteuci quien necesitaba crear una nueva herramienta de estudio para sus enseñanzas. Esta baraja de tarot es única ya que fusiona tanto la Astrología con la Numerología y el Cábala, y llevó siete años de trabajo para finalizarlo.
Partiendo de las simbologías clásicas del Tarot de Thoth y el Tatot de Rider-Water Tarot (considerados los "los padres de la Tarología"), esta nueva baraja de 79 cartas supone una nueva manera de interpretas los arcanos. En cuanto al lenguaje visual y técnicas utilizadas, cada carta es una mezcla de imágenes digitales procesadas (como fotografías e ilustraciones hechas por mi y posteriormente escaneadas) que se unen para crear nuevas imágenes en collages digitales de intensos colores. Para poder realizar este trabajo, tuve que tomar diferentes cursos en CNATBA para entender la complejidad de la cartomancia.
Además de la bajara de tarot, también estuve a cargo de diseñar la tapa y contratapa del Manual de Tarot Astrocabalístico Universal®, la caja contenedora/packaging tanto para el manual como para la baraja y dos láminas con información adicional.
